About
Who?
I’m Liam. The outdoors has been my main passion for most of my life. It has shaped my work, my interests and handed me some of my best memories and important life lessons.
I want to use my love for the outdoors and adventures as a vehicle for raising funds for causes close to my heart.
What?
Simply. I do Long walks for great causes.
How it began.
In 2023 I decided to walk the 630 mile South West Coast Path as a challenge but it needed to be part of something bigger. I had become more and more aware of the increasing numbers of mental health problems (and suicide) in young people. I scrawled ‘A long walk for Young Minds’ in my note pad and began.
I used this campaign as a platform to raise money, raise mental health awareness and to promote the benefits of outdoor adventure.
The first walk raised over £5000 for Young Minds.
Coming up?
I strongly believe that Outdoor Education / Outdoor Adventurous activities can be of huge value to a young persons social development, promote good mental health and that the outdoors are there for everyone.
I was lucky enough to experience the Outward Bound Trust over twenty years ago and I can still feel its positive ripples through my life. I want to pay it forward.
Through the spring summer of 2025 I will be undertaking a number of smaller adventures to raise funds then in September 2025 I will start the 870 mile Wales Coast Path.
The funds raised will specifically help those with financial barriers attend Outward Bound Courses.
